The Challenge
Bank of Ireland Group plc is a commercial bank operation in Ireland and one of the traditional 'Big Four' Irish banks.
In 2006-07 the Bank of Ireland’s IT and MarComm teams were preparing an upgrade of their online customer facing activities and services. This exercise included an in depth review of the capabilities available in digital advertising and web analytic, understanding of methodology and principles behind user & customer experience design, their impact on success of the financial products.
Our Solution
For over a year the BOI team received weekly consultations and full time practical support in the areas of digital advertising, product design, user and customer experience (*).
Performance of the online campaigns delivered to BOI exceeded their expectations demonstrating extremely high conversion rates. Those campaigns served as a practical proof that digital advertising had strong advantages over the traditional advertising due to its higher customer reach, transparency and quantifiable success.
The UI / UX Guidelines were produced to help the MarComm and IT teams to redesign experience behind BOI website in accordance with the latest industry standards catering for enjoyable user & customer experience and the company’s business KPIs.
