02 | The Challenge
Over-C was in search of an additional suite of analytics to enhance their current Advanced Analytics Dashboards. The recently introduced Ops Trends collection aimed to present a comprehensive visualization of live IoT data and third-party datasets, which are constantly captured by Over-C's hardware and software in real-time.
Ops Trends was designed to go beyond displaying raw data and also illustrate the events that are dynamically generated by the IoT and Rules Engine. This visualisation would incorporate historical data, real-time analytics, and predictive insights, offering a holistic view of the information.

05 | The Solution
After conducting extensive research, performing competitive analysis, and thoroughly reviewing the existing product, we put forth a proposal to upgrade the UI framework. The aim was to future-proof it and ensure its compatibility with ongoing projects and similar ones in the future.
As a result of this research and review, we completely revamped the UI framework, reworked the data filtering and sorting logic, and enhanced the overall UI and UX. These changes addressed and improved several issues related to data discoverability across the dashboards.
Additionally, we suggested and gained client approval for new features such as the ability to compare single and grouped metrics, as well as the option to favourite specific metrics.

07 | The Result
The deliverables encompassed prototypes and UI specifications for the new UI framework, comprehensive filters, favorite and comparison features, along with all the necessary use cases for the Ops Trends Dashboards. This included considerations for empty states and other relevant aspects.
The concepts and documentation delivered surpassed the client's expectations.
